Carrie

Instructor / Choreographer

Carrie has been dancing, performing and instructing for over 25 years.  As a child and young adult she studied Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and voice; but found her heart in the art of Jazz and lyrical.  Prior to her collegiate studies, she had performed in shows in England, France, Spain, and Italy.  Upon returning to the US, Carrie began studying Ballet at Stephens University; then furthered her studies in Modern Dance and Ballet at the University of Missouri. 

 

Since then, Carrie has appeared in, and been a featured soloist within her company while performing at many venues including those at Caesars Palace, Bellagio, and Paris Hotel while on tour in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.  Carrie has also had the privilege of sharing the stage with great legends such as; Bobby Vinton, Shoji Tabuchi, Neil McCoy, and Andy Williams.

 

Just a few of her recent choreography credits include Legends in Concert, Michael Lee Productions, Cabaret, Bobby Vinton Variety, UMC Mulekickers, RPHS Prowlers, and Joseph.

Currently she is an national adjudicator, and her master class instructing experience spans from national conventions to competitive college and high school dance teams.  Her competitive style choreography has won accolades regionally and nationally.

 

Carrie enjoys using her education and experience to help young dancers and future professional dancers find their way, and their love for dance. While at home in KC, Carrie loves teaching and choreographing for the hard working kids at her family owned studio, Dancing Plus.

 

Carrie is the mother of two wild and energetic boys, who keep her on her toes and fill her heart with joy.  Her love of life, children, and dance is evident in her many years of being on stage and teaching those wanting to be on stage.
